There used to be my school mate who use to wash his body once in a year which is on the special day - "Blessed rainy day." I usually tease him with this particular reason. Infact, that was a message for him that he rarely do take bath.
Blessed rainy day, we believe that this day is so auspicious and miraculuous. The blessings of god falls as rains and if we wash our entire body outdoor, it is said that our misdeeds of the past which are accumulated are all cleansed by the blessings. All Bhutanese would most probably take shower or bath tomorrow on 23rd September for the above reason.
Some folks also believes that the day is the end of rainy season and it is absolutely true as we believe in it. These are all superstitions but these are true. This is true because we believe in it. Believing is the true factor for something to be right or wrong. If we believe it, things are true. If we don't, it won't happen to you.
